Welcome to the official website of Milana Prikhodko, who is a young female artist. Milana graduated from Stravinsky Children's School of Arts. Her paintings are primarily abstractions, even though in her art she combines various techniques, from acrylic paintings on canvas to colored graphics.
“For me, art is first and foremost freedom. A moment, emotions, depicted on canvas, impression, the way of self-reflection. Often, I just follow the desire, colors and play with them. Starting the work, I barely know what exactly I am going to paint. It starts from one dot of paint, and then the flow turns it into something interesting.
Painting should be (and it is) a play. In a world, overwhelmed with external ideas and symbols, there is too little place left for a dialogue with oneself. And abstract art provides such an opportunity. In abstract paintings, everyone will see something personal and unique. There are no right or wrong answers.
I believe that art should be available, nowadays, it lives in homes and interiors of people just like many years ago. Today a painting on the wall will remind of spring coming, while tomorrow it will become a background for a friend's gathering. And in this cooperation with the environment, contemporary art is born”.
